It’s beginning to look a hot like Christmas
Even though the local weather has nothing to do with Christmas, LA is jingle all the way. While driving in my car with my shades on, t-shirt on and the sun burning on my skin, I constantly hear Christmas songs on the radio. That’s so weird! Because I haven’t got a sunny and warm Christmas ever in my life before. The weather is chilly, but it feels like spring in NL. People in LA think different about that. They’re wearing parkas, gloves and scarves. I think that’s ridiculous, but they’re giving ME a weird look when I’m walking around in a t-shirt :D

Another thing I have to get used to, is cars disguised as Christmas dears. Some cars have red noses and antlers on top of them. Others just are humble and only wear a Christmas bow or garland. Even though it’s a bit over the top, Americans know how to decorate to get you in the Christmas vibe. On Friday I went with a couple of girls from my school to the Universal Citywalk. That looked amazing! Everything was decorated in Christmas style and even Santa Claus was there. It got me in the Christmas mood right away. After taking tons of pictures we ended up in the Hard Rock cafe, that wasn’t very Christmasish, but it definitely was American.

Let it sprinkle!
A sweet tooth and Christmas go hand in hand. And what’s sweeter than a cupcake?! So we went to the one and only cupcake ATM from Sprinklers at Beverly Hills. In Holland you can get fast food out of the wall. Well, this is similar, but just a little bit fancier ;) You choose your cupcake from the touchscreen and swipe your credit card. Then you see your cupcake making its way to you on the screen (see video!). A shutter will open and there’s your cupcake! In a nice, little box. I had a red velvet one and it definitely was the best cupcake I’ve ever had!

Wrapping it up
When you think of Christmas, you think of presents. And what’s the fun part of presents? You have to shop for them! So we went to Rodeo Drive. Actually it was only window-shopping, because it was in the middle of the night (and mostly way out of our of our budget ;)). The good part about that, was that the street and shops were totally empty so we got stunning views! Since the best shops are at Rodeo Drive, we fell in love with every window we passed. Santa, I’ve been very good this year! :D
What really impressed me was the Cartier store. The building itself was wrapped as a present <3

All I want for Christmas is bluemake up Christmas blue
At this special time of the year, we want to look special. So we put an extra effort in our appearance. I was at the Beverly Center and there was a special event going on where make-up artists from Lancome gave you a Holiday make-up makeover. Michelle, my make-up artist, did a great job turning my eyes into a dramatic, blue Christmas look. So even if it’s sunny out here, I’m totally in the Christmas vibe! Are you too?
